About Us

About Forma Homes Licensed General Contractor in Los Angeles

Forma Homes is a licensed general contractor (CSLB #1140511) focused on high end residential remodeling across Greater Los Angeles. We build kitchens, bathrooms, full home renovations, backyard transformations, and ground-up construction for homeowners who expect their contractor to communicate clearly, execute precisely, and finish jobs the way they started on time and on budget.

The people

Shawn has been building in Los Angeles since 2016, first as a project manager for premium development firms, overseeing ground-up construction and full remodels. In 2020 he became the main driver behind Omega, a construction company building since 2005. Liam spent those same years as an operations manager for a development company, then led the construction wing of a property management firm. In 2022 the two of us paired up to start Forma Homes, and we bring that level of care to every job we run. The people who price your job are the people who build it, and you will see us on site from the first walkthrough to the last.

Why We Started Forma

The residential remodeling industry in Los Angeles has a well-earned reputation for vague estimates, shifting timelines, and radio silence between milestones. Homeowners learn to expect this and they shouldn't have to.

Forma was built specifically to fix these problems. Not with marketing language, but with operational structure: a real scope definition process before contracts are signed, itemized pricing rather than ballpark ranges, and weekly photo updates throughout construction. The kind of transparency that used to be rare, and shouldnt be.

Carrara herringbone shower with Zellige accent in a West Hollywood bathroom remodel by Forma Homes

West Hollywood · 2025

Marble herringbone in West Hollywood

Owner wanted Carrara marble herringbone running floor-to-ceiling on three shower walls. Zellige tile accent panel. Frameless glass. Brass everything.

Marble herringbone is unforgiving. Each piece gets cut and placed by hand. Veining has to be coordinated across the run or the eye catches a misaligned slab. Grout joints stay tight or the pattern reads wrong.

We mocked up the shower three times before the install crew committed. Pre-laid every Zellige tile on the floor and sorted by tone so the natural variation reads as character instead of chaos. Schluter Kerdi waterproofing. Flood-tested for 24 hours before any tile went down. Brizo unlacquered brass, hand-shower, rain head. Frameless half-inch tempered glass with brass U-channel and a 3/16-inch reveal all the way around.

Ten weeks. Every line aligns with intent.

How We Run a Job

We do fewer projects than most contractors our size. We'd rather take three jobs and run them right than ten and run them half.

Every project is managed directly by leadership. Not passed off to a subcontractor coordinator you've never met. We blend our own in-house crews with best-in-class trade partners we've worked with for 20+ years, all held to a single standard under one project manager.

Proposals are itemized. Timelines are tracked weekly. You get a photo update every Friday and a walkthrough whenever you want one. If a date slips, you hear about it the day it slips, not the week of.

Itemized Pricing

Line-item proposals. No hidden costs. Change orders documented before work starts.
